SKINN founder, Kurt De Vlieghere, started SKINN 15 years ago out of a love for beautiful and smart design. Two years later David van Gessel joined him as co-founder. The management team was strengthened and completed 6 years ago with the arrival of Ruth Bossuyt as managing director. As a futurist, Kurt always lives with one foot in the future, a necessity in the rapidly changing world of branding. His ambitious and entrepreneurial vision for SKINN is made possible by assembling a complementary, diverse and hybrid team around
brand strategy.
Kristof Windels, brand strategist, has a background in journalism and strategic communication, both in politics and in the corporate world (De Morgen, VRT Nieuws, Open Vld, Ghelamco Group ...). He uses his many years of experience on a daily basis to challenge clients and to help clarify, sharpen and strategically deploy their brand (story). During workshops he uses his critical point of view to bring up new insights and opportunities.
Jan Van Brakel, brand strategist, brings the necessary marketing specialisation within the strategic team. Thanks to his experience in marketing and communication at BBDO, where he was awarded several times for his work, and Jumbo Supermarket chain, he seamlessly bridges the gap to communication and messaging. He ensures brands reach relevant target groups in relevant ways.
Annelies Leysen also joins the team of brand strategists and has built up her specialisation in copywriting, storytelling and conversational design at Kunstmaan and Accenture Interactive, among others. At SKINN, Annelies translates the world of our clients into a powerful and distinctive brand strategy. She also takes the lead in the art of naming.
Laurens Neyrinck, brand consultant & strategist, gives the sales team a young, fresh and ambitious boost. Laurens analyses and challenges client’s demands and forms the link between sales and the right branding through his strategic vision.
Pieter Versmesse also combines his experience as a brand consultant at Roularta Media group and Duke & Grace with expertise in sales and digital marketing. As the customer's first contact, he forms the bridge between sales and the strategic team.
As a creative strategist, brand consultant and futurist, Eliza Kowal-Bourgonjon, having trend forecasting run through her veins, helps SKINN to chart its own strategic path for the future. Eliza will keep a finger on the pulse of the brand identity world for both clients and SKINN itself.
As a digital strategist, Frédéric De Vries analyses SKINN's digital department aiming for further expansion. Before, he gained various strategic experience at, among others, The Reference, These Days, BBDO, Duval Guillaume, Gutzandglory and Dropsolid.
With Nathalie De Schepper, SKINN now also provides its own communication and PR in a structural way. Nathalie amassed 10 years of experience in lifestyle, corporate and non-profit PR, communication and consultancy at oona and Flanders DC. The ideal basis to carry the SKINN message, expertise and work further into the world.
