Charlotte Matthys came to SKINN in 2018 to create the branding for her ambitious start-up, Nona, a premium non-alcoholic drinks brand. Nona June is the first drink in the range. It’s an alcohol-free gin, based on 9 herbs, made to enjoy alone or in the right company. For free spirits who have a positive outlook on life.
After 1.5 years of success, we sat down again to prepare Nona for international expansion. It was time to expand the brand identity with a sophisticated visual identity. We created an image style and overarching color grading that would become the red thread through Nona's social media feeds.
Nona lives mainly online, so the visuals, storylines and underlying strategy were developed with digital execution in mind. For a brand like Nona that needs to be able to switch quickly, the flexible and fast application of such an imagery identity is of great importance, so we poured everything into user-friendly templates that Charlotte and her team could use, both internally and externally, within the framework of the branding.
